Engagement Story:
Chuck and I have been dating since college. We have had a few ups and downs, along with some seperations (absence makes the heart grow fonder). We met up again, and began seeing each other once again. Except this time, we had both grow up, and knew what we wanted in life. After a year, Chuck planned the best night of my life. He told me that I had to take a day off from work, and that is all he would tell me. So we got into his truck and began to drive. After an hour of driving, we pulled into the city of Cape May. I thought we were going to the beach, but instead, he pulled into a dock. When we parked, he pulled out a brochure to show me what we were doing. He chartered a private sunset sailboat ride through Capy May. The ride itself was beautiful...At one point, the captain was able to get the dolphins to come up to the boat. Now I have seen dolphins before, but never so close. I have such a thing for dolphins, it was absolutely perfect!!! After the sailboat ride, Chuck tells me that he also rented the boat for the night, and that we would be staying overnight on the boat, just the two of us. I thought that was so different! At this point it was late, and we had not eaten dinner yet. So Chuck decides that we should go into town, get take-out, and bring it back on the boat to eat. So we go, and return to the boat. When we get back to the boat, I can hear romantic music playing from our boat. He takes the doors off the boat, and the inside is decorated with flowers, candles, chocolates, etc.... We go in, and I am amazed! We put the food down, and he asks me to go back up to the deck of the boat. That is where I noticed a card on the seat. He tells me to open it. As I opened it, the card read, "For the beautiful bride to be." Then I look at him, and there he is, holding the ring! He gets down on one knee, and asks me to marry him! Of course, I said YES!! To make the story even better, he bought me a heart-shaped diamond....something I always wanted!! He is the greatest!
